Thank you for your interest in working at Camp Kennebec. At Camp Kennebec we are very particular about who we hire due to the nature of our camp. Kennebec does not hire anyone under the age of 18. We are looking for individuals with experience in working with children with specials needs. Experience or education in the fields of psychology, social work, education, summer camps, ECE, DSW, OT, CYW or PSW is an asset. All employees must possess a current police background check prior to their start date of employment, a SIN number and be legally able to work in Canada.
All staff are trained, onsite, for one week prior to campers arriving. Staff are trained on how to work with our campers, plan for success for each individual camper and to learn new strategies when working with new and returning campers.
Kennebec has always had a strong, cohesive and supportive atmosphere. After forty years of operation, staff continue to return, some dedicating their summers to camp for over 25 years.
Kennebec accepts resumes year round for male and female staff for positions of: Camp Counselor, Chef, Kitchen Staff and Nurses.
